Gwangju Seo-gu to Host Hair Festival on the 17th

Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 6th that it will hold the 'Beauty Seo-gu, Hair Festival' event at 6 p.m. on the 17th at the Seobitmaru Culture and Arts Center performance hall.

Organized by the Korea Beauty Association Gwangju Seo-gu Branch, this event was prepared under the theme of 'Dreams, Passion, and Challenge' to provide opportunities for the development of Seo-gu's beauty industry and diverse beauty culture experiences for residents.

The hair show consists of three acts: ▲ Act 1, themed 'Passion and Challenge,' featuring a scissor dance performance and work demonstration by students of Jeonnam Beauty High School ▲ Act 2, themed 'Youth Love (愛) Dream,' showcasing the latest trend hair sketch works by young hair designers ▲ Act 3, themed 'Feast of Beauty (美),' presenting a creative hair show by professional hair designers.

The event will be accompanied by classical music suitable for autumn, with performances by vocalist Kim Sohee and saxophonist Yoon Jooseung.

Additionally, starting at 3 p.m. before the event, side events such as a beauty experience center (nail art, personal color diagnosis, makeup, fragrance experience, etc.), free haircuts for seniors and people with disabilities, and a prize drawing will be held, making it an event that residents can enjoy together.

Lee Sangyong, head of the Health and Hygiene Division at Seo-gu Public Health Center, said, “We will do our best to develop Seo-gu’s beauty industry by increasing interest and understanding of beauty culture through this event enjoyed with residents.”
