Hwasun-gun's Jeong Na-eun Wins Gold Medal at Hangzhou Asian Games
Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 6th that athlete Jeong Na-eun (Hwasun-gun Office) won the gold medal in the women's team final at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.
On the 1st, in the women's team badminton final of the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games held at Binjiang Gymnasium, Zhejiang Province, China, they achieved a decisive 3-0 victory over China.
Korea won the Asian Games team gold medal for the first time since the 1994 Hiroshima Games.
It was also the first time in 29 years that the national team defeated China in the women's team event at the Asian Games.
Furthermore, the 62,000 residents of Hwasun-gun celebrated the gold medal victory together with their proud daughter from Hwasun, athlete Jeong Na-eun, who participated in the women's team event.
