Over 2,500 Firefighters Nationwide Gather in Geoje, Gyeongnam for the 5th National Firefighting Sports Competition

The 5th National Firefighting Sports Competition hosted by the Commissioner of the Fire Department will be held in Geoje, Gyeongnam, from the 11th to the 13th.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters on the 4th, the opening ceremony of this competition, which started in 2019 and is now in its 5th edition, will take place at 3 p.m. on the 11th at the Geoje Culture and Arts Center.
About 2,500 firefighting officers from the Fire Department and 19 domestic fire headquarters will participate, competing in seven events including soccer, baseball, basketball, table tennis, jokgu, tennis, and badminton.
A uniform contest showcasing all the uniforms worn by firefighting officers will be held, and 10 teams, including individuals and groups who passed the 1st National Firefighting Music Festival, will demonstrate their skills.
Policy promotions such as the Busan 2030 Expo bid, hometown love donation system, and seafood tasting and sales events will also be held as side events.
