According to Mokpo Maritime Police on the 4th, among 112 water leisure equipment accidents in the past three years, 70 cases (63%) were engine failure accidents, and among them, 23 cases (33%) occurred only in the autumn season (September to October). As autumn leisure activities become more active, accidents such as engine failures are also on the rise.
This free inspection will provide more detailed checks through the Korea Maritime Safety Authority (KOMSA) and specialized maintenance companies. Advance reservations are available until the 12th, and those who make reservations in advance will receive a small safety item as a gift.

A Mokpo Maritime Police official said, “Since drifting or engine failure at sea carries a high risk of secondary major accidents such as capsizing or grounding, equipment inspection before departure is important,” and added, “We hope this free inspection service will help prevent marine accidents and establish a safe water leisure culture.”
