President Yoon Suk-yeol carried out various schedules during the six-day Chuseok holiday, including on-site inspections of public livelihood and security, and a luncheon with compatriots affected by the atomic bomb. Following his August vacation, President Yoon spent this Chuseok holiday as a 'working holiday,' intending to personally oversee the challenging domestic and international security and economic situations.
According to the Presidential Office on the 3rd, President Yoon completed four public schedules from August 28, including a visit to the Korean Air cargo terminal at Incheon International Airport, up to the present day.
As with his previous vacation, this holiday was intended to meticulously manage public livelihood and security through a non-stop holiday. Earlier, during his August vacation, President Yoon issued instructions to the government on pressing issues such as the World Scout Jamboree and defective construction of multi-unit apartments over six days, and on the last day of his vacation, he went to the Yongsan Presidential Office to hold an emergency meeting in preparation for Typhoon Khanun.

He encouraged the cargo terminal workers, saying, "For our economy to grow and develop further, the domestic market of 50 million is insufficient, so we inevitably have to increase exports and imports. Without air cargo, there is practically no national economic activity. Because you are here, the country's economy runs, so please take pride and work even harder."
On Chuseok day, the 29th of last month, he invited 85 atomic bomb survivors and their families residing in Korea and Japan to a luncheon meeting at the Blue House State Guest House. This fulfilled a promise President Yoon made at a compatriot meeting held in Hiroshima during the G7 summit in May. It is also interpreted as a reaffirmation of the intention to improve and cooperate in Korea-Japan relations. President Yoon emphasized, "Our government will cooperate with Japan, our closest neighbor sharing universal values of freedom, human rights, and the rule of law, to promote peace and prosperity in the region and the world."
He visited police substations, fire stations, and military units supporting public livelihood. On the 30th, President Yoon visited the Eulji Substation of the Jungbu Police Station and the Jungbu Fire Station in Seoul to encourage police officers and firefighters guarding the frontlines during the holiday period. In particular, he visited the simulation shooting range installed on the 7th floor of the Eulji Substation and observed a shooting training demonstration. This shooting range was established as part of strengthening on-site response capabilities to actively deal with abnormal motive crimes and heinous crimes.
President Yoon Suk-yeol visited the observation post of the 25th Army Division in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province, on the 1st, which is both the Chuseok holiday and Armed Forces Day, inspecting the barbed wire fence and receiving an explanation from Division Commander Choi Sung-jin.

On the 1st, National Armed Forces Day, President Yoon visited the 25th Division located in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, received a report on military readiness, and inspected the GOP (General Outpost) barbed wire patrol path. He instructed Major General Choi Seong-jin, commander of the 25th Division, "Do not hesitate for even a second; respond immediately," and urged the soldiers, "Remember that your dedication on the frontlines of security is the shortcut to boosting our economy and industry. Take pride and fulfill your duties."
On the 2nd, Senior Citizens' Day, instead of a field visit, he expressed gratitude to the elderly who have led security and the economy through social media. In a post on Facebook, President Yoon stated, "We will not forget the dedication of our elders who defended the Republic of Korea from communist forces and laid the foundation for growth based on liberal democracy and market economy."
