President Park Ji-woo stated, “The APEC Summit is not just a meeting but a chance to share our 5,000-year-old rich history, culture, and economic and industrial development. Only Gyeongju, the birthplace of the K-wave, can provide the historic inspiration of the APEC Summit, with its abundant experience in successfully hosting international events such as the 2005 Korea-US Summit and the 2015 World Water Forum.” She added, “Through monthly meetings, the October training in Japan, and the December year-end night event, I will do my utmost as a representative of women entrepreneurs until the summit is successfully hosted in Gyeongju.”
