Hwangdeung Seoksan is the largest quarry in Korea, measuring 500m in length, 300m in width, and 120m in depth. It is a rounded rectangular space forming a massive vertical cliff and is currently being developed into a cultural and arts park.
This media art event will use an 80m high and 1.5km long asbestos screen to project a gigantic artwork where culture, art, nature, and people meet.
Before the media art screening, traditional bamboo flute (daegeum) performances will be presented by Baek Minju, a guest performer from the National Gugak Center, followed by media art works by media artists Lee Inam, Lee Dona, Kim Changkyum, and Zhang Xiaotao (China).

At this media art facade, Lee Inam’s work "Light Reborn" will be screened. This piece expresses vitality through the blooming of the artist’s DNA information text and vegetation animation over a dry space. It conveys life itself through the natural scenes that come alive with inhalation and exhalation, like human breathing.
Lee Dona will present "Dreaming of the Future." This work emphasizes that although a world where reality and virtuality are mixed has arrived, pride based on heritage and the heart that values each individual remain eternal. It also conveys the human desire to create new values and pursue happiness in the future will endure forever.
