"No Off-Season" Jeju Air's International Flight Booking Rate Up 11% Compared to 2019
Airfare Promotions and Travel Benefits Scheduled to Be Offered
Jeju Air announced on the 26th that the international flight ticket reservation rate for October to November is around the mid-70% range. The average reservation rate for this period is an 11% increase compared to the same period in 2019, when air travel demand was high (60%). Weekend and weekday reservation rates also recorded higher levels than at that time, with the weekend in the high 70% range and weekdays in the mid-70% range.
October and November are classified as off-peak seasons in the airline industry due to low student demand and travel congestion during the summer vacation and Chuseok holiday periods. The company analyzed that the culture of traveling cheaply by avoiding peak seasons or using annual leave and weekends to travel played a role.
Jeju Air is offering various benefits during this period to capture such demand. They plan to enhance customer mobility convenience by providing flight ticket discounts, local rental car, and transportation pass benefits. Partnership benefits such as accommodation and travel products are also prepared. Detailed information can be found on Jeju Air’s website.
