Yangcheon-gu Supports Installation Costs for Water Barrier Panels in Apartment Underground Parking Lots
Applications Accepted Until October 20 for Over 250 Apartments; Up to 50 Million KRW per Flood Barrier, Maximum 20 Million KRW per Complex, Installation Costs Supported up to 50% of Total Project Cost
Yangcheon-gu (District Mayor Lee Gi-jae) announced that it will support the installation of flood barriers in underground parking lots of apartment complexes in the area until October 20 to prevent flooding damage caused by the increased frequency of autumn typhoons due to climate change.
Flood barriers are devices that suppress the backflow and accumulation of rainwater at the entrances of underground parking lots during heavy rain, making them highly effective facilities for preventing flood damage.
To this end, the district secured a budget of 120 million KRW this year and completed the installation of flood barriers at a total of 24 underground parking lot entrances in 16 apartment complexes in the area during the first half of the year. Due to positive feedback from residents of the complexes where installation was completed, additional support has been decided for the second half of the year.
Eligible applicants are approximately 250 apartment complexes in the area. Installation costs for flood barriers will be supported up to 50% of the total project cost, with a maximum of 5 million KRW per flood barrier and up to 20 million KRW per complex.
Apartment complexes wishing to apply for additional installations should prepare related documents such as the application form and minutes of the residents' representative meeting and submit them to the Housing Division of the district office by October 20.
