Ottogi Volunteers at 'One Step Further Walking Event for Heart Disease Prevention'

Supporting the Walking Competition Hosted by the Korean Heart Foundation Since 2012

Ottogi announced on the 18th that it participated in the '2023 One More Step Walking Event for Heart Disease Prevention' hosted by the Korea Heart Foundation on the 16th and carried out volunteer activities.

The One More Step Walking Event is an event organized to raise awareness about the necessity of heart disease prevention and to support heart disease patients. This year's event was held around Children's Grand Park in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

The 'Ottogi Volunteer Group,' launched in 2012 to fulfill social responsibility through sharing and volunteering, has been assisting the walking event since October of that year with members from Ottogi's Anyang factory, research center, and Ottogi Center. The participating Ottogi volunteers performed various roles such as participant registration, event guidance, and assisting with game progress to help ensure smooth event operation.

A monthly donation of 25 million KRW to the Korea Heart Foundation was also delivered on-site. This donation is part of Ottogi's representative social contribution project, the 'Support Program for Children with Congenital Heart Disease,' and will be used for surgery costs for children in need.

Since establishing a partnership with the Korea Heart Foundation in 1992, Ottogi has given new life to 6,013 children through the 'Support Program for Children with Congenital Heart Disease' over the past 31 years. The number of sponsored children, which started with five per month, has now increased to 22 per month.
