In the early morning of the 17th, a BMW vehicle driving on a road in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, crashed into a bus parked in a parking lot on the opposite side, resulting in the deaths of three people.
According to Ilsan Western Police Station, around 3 a.m. that day, a BMW passenger car driven by a man in his 30s identified as A crossed the center line on a four-lane road in Juyop-dong, Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, and collided with a bus parked in a roadside parking lot on the opposite side.

View original imageAs a result of the accident, A and two passengers in their 20s were transported to the hospital but ultimately died. Another passenger in their 30s sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalized receiving treatment. It has been reported that their life is not in danger. It was confirmed that there were no occupants on the bus hit by the BMW vehicle.
At the time of the accident, it was reported that the front part of the BMW passenger car had penetrated under the bus.

Meanwhile, the police estimate that A was speeding and crossed the center line, causing the accident, based on the extent of damage to the BMW passenger car. The police are investigating whether the individuals were under the influence of alcohol through blood tests and plan to take detailed statements once the passenger in their 30s who is currently receiving hospital treatment wakes up, in order to investigate the specific circumstances of the incident.
