Hwasun-gun Selected for Farm Management Improvement Contest Project
2 Projects, 3 Locations, Total Project Cost 130 Million Won
Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 14th that three farmers were selected to participate in the '2024 Farm Management Improvement Contest Project' organized by the Jeollanam-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services.
One site was selected for the 'Agriculture and Livestock Jeonnam TOP Management Model Commercialization Project' and two sites for the 'Management Record Book Maintenance Farm Management Improvement Support Project,' aiming to resolve farmers' management difficulties and increase income.
The 'Agriculture and Livestock Jeonnam TOP Management Model Commercialization Project' is promoted to develop and disseminate excellent management models so that farms with production bases by crop can achieve the highest standards in Jeonnam.
In Hwasun-gun, one site (with a project budget of 100 million KRW) was selected for improving the productivity of fully ripened tomatoes using laying light screens and substrate weight sensors.
The 'Management Record Book Maintenance Farm Management Improvement Support Project' provides facility and equipment support for management improvement to agricultural management entities that have maintained management record books for more than three years.
In our county, two sites (with a project budget of 30 million KRW) were selected, focusing on reducing peach management costs through brush cutters and improving blueberry productivity by establishing nutrient solution facilities.
