Following the Success of Janghyang Latte in China... Chocolate with Maotai Released
As coffee containing China's famous liquor Maotai creates a sensation in the local market, a chocolate product containing the same baijiu is set to be released.
On the 13th, Guizhou Maotai in China revealed a poster related to a new collaborative product on its official social media platform, Weibo. The poster features the phrase "melts in your mouth, with a long-lasting aftertaste" and states that a new product will be launched on the 16th in partnership with Dove.
The chocolate brand Dove also announced on its Weibo channel that it will release a chocolate product with Maotai on the 16th. Maotai chocolate will be available for purchase at Maotai ice cream stores in China and Dove chocolate sales channels. Specific content and price details have not yet been disclosed.
Earlier, on the 4th, the collaboration between Chinese Luckin Coffee and Maotai resulted in the launch of the "Jiangxiang Latte," which sold over 5.4 million cups within a day, gaining significant popularity. Daily sales exceeded 100 million yuan (approximately 18.2 billion KRW), setting a new record for the company for a single product.

The Jiangxiang Latte is priced at 38 yuan per cup, and with coupons, it can be purchased for 19 yuan per cup. Each 480mL serving contains about 1.8 to 2.7mL of Maotai. The alcohol content is around 0.2 to 0.3 percent. As the unique flavor of alcohol-infused products gained popularity, the local coffee franchise Manner Coffee also launched a coffee beverage containing wine.
