The Korea International Trade Association announced on the 14th that it will hold the '2023 Jakarta International Premium Consumer Goods Expo' at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) exhibition hall in Indonesia from the 14th to the 17th (local time) in collaboration with COEX. This is a large-scale Korean product exhibition held immediately following President Yoon Seok-yeol's visit to Indonesia and the Korea-Indonesia summit meeting.
Marking its 6th edition this year, the exhibition will feature 231 domestic companies participating, representing a 29% increase in scale compared to the previous year. Large and small enterprises, the Foundation for Agricultural and Fisheries Cooperation, and six local governments including Gyeonggi, Gyeongbuk, Incheon, Daejeon, Chungbuk, and Chungnam have collaborated. The event includes the 'Great Sale Zone,' a promotional space for Indonesian companies holding sales licenses, and the 'K-Lifestyle Promotion Hall,' which features Hallyu cultural content products.

Major Indonesian distribution companies and buyers such as Lotte Mart, Grand Lucky, Gramedia Pustaka Utama, and Daesang Ugung have applied to participate, totaling 378 companies, a 38% increase compared to last year. The number of consultations is also expected to increase by about 27% from last year, with more than 1,664 sessions planned. On the 15th, a 'Korea-Indonesia Future Industry Cooperation Forum' will be held in Jakarta. Additionally, since 2002, the Trade Association has been holding 4 to 5 local exhibition consultation meetings annually in major markets such as Tokyo, Ho Chi Minh City, and Dubai.

Jung Manki, Vice Chairman of the Trade Association, stated, "We expect to achieve follow-up results by holding the exhibition at a time when conditions for Korean companies' entry have significantly improved due to the presidential visit and the Korea-Indonesia summit." He added, "The Trade Association will expand marketing opportunities centered on consultation meetings to ensure they lead to substantial trade and investment activation."
