Now in its fourth year, H2 MEET runs from the 13th to the 15th and features 303 companies and organizations from 18 countries across three sectors: hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and transportation, and hydrogen utilization. This marks a 26% increase from last year, making it the largest event to date.
Domestic participants include Hyundai Motor Company, POSCO, Hanwha, Korea Zinc, Kolon, Hyosung, SeAH, and Doosan. International exhibitors include ALW Renewables (Germany), Air Products (USA), Bronkhorst (Netherlands), Kraft Powercon (Sweden), and APAVE (France). Numerous government agencies and corporations from both Korea and abroad also participate, such as Chungnam Technopark, the DSC (Daejeon-Sejong-Chungnam) Regional Innovation Platform, Korea Institute of Energy Technology, Korea Gas Safety Corporation, and the embassies of the Netherlands, the UK, Australia, Canada, and Colombia in Korea.
Hyundai Motor’s ‘Hydrogen Fuel Cell Truck Cleaning Vehicle,’ POSCO’s ‘Global Hydrogen Production,’ Hanwha’s ‘Electrolytic and Ammonia Decomposition Hydrogen Mass Production Technology’
Hyundai Motor Group is participating in ‘H2 MEET 2023,’ held from September 13 to 15 at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, showcasing ▲the Xcient hydrogen fuel cell truck cleaning vehicle ▲a waste resource hydrogen production package ▲a mobile hydrogen refueling station, among others. The group will present various hydrogen business technologies applied throughout the entire hydrogen lifecycle, from production to utilization.
Hyundai Motor Group has prepared an exhibition space of 1,125㎡ (approximately 340 pyeong). To realize its hydrogen ecosystem vision, the group will showcase various demonstration cases of its ‘Hydrogen Business Toolbox,’ a collaborative effort among its affiliates. The Hydrogen Business Toolbox aims to secure new growth engines through building a hydrogen ecosystem. It encompasses an interconnected hydrogen business model that includes the application of eco-friendly components to achieve carbon neutrality in hydrogen production and supply, the introduction of eco-friendly logistics systems using hydrogen, and the sale of fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).
POSCO Group, including six major affiliates such as POSCO Holdings and POSCO, will present a business blueprint and key achievements across the entire hydrogen business value chain?from clean hydrogen production and transportation to storage and utilization. The POSCO Group exhibition booth is organized into 11 themes, including the Global Hydrogen Production Zone, Hydrogen Value Chain Zone, Hydrogen Production Technology Zone, Hydrogen Steel Solution Zone, and HyREX Zone.
This year, POSCO Group will offer an immersive experience with a 3D panoramic video showcasing the achievements and future vision of its clean hydrogen production projects worldwide, making visitors feel as if they are visiting actual hydrogen production sites. A model of the Oman Green Hydrogen Project, for which POSCO Group holds exclusive business rights, will also be displayed. Additionally, a new HBI (Hot Briquetted Iron) Zone will be introduced to detail the Australian green hydrogen business model linked to green steel. HBI refers to a processed product shaped like a briquette, made by removing oxygen (reduction) from iron ore.
Hanwha Group will participate with seven major affiliates, including Hanwha Solutions, Hanwha Aerospace, and Hanwha Ocean. They will showcase an integrated value chain that produces, stores, and transports clean hydrogen for use in hydrogen power plants and hydrogen fuel cells.
Hanwha Corporation, Hanwha Energy, Hanwha Solutions, and Hanwha Impact will introduce electrolytic technology that produces hydrogen by splitting water using electricity generated from renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power, as well as technology for mass-producing hydrogen by decomposing ammonia. Hanwha Solutions will also exhibit various types of high-pressure tanks designed for the safe storage and transportation of hydrogen. Hanwha Aerospace will display a 100-kilowatt (kW) lightweight hydrogen fuel cell applicable to urban air mobility (UAM) and other uses. Hanwha Ocean will showcase models of a 3,000-ton-class submarine equipped with an ammonia carrier and hydrogen fuel cell system, representing next-generation eco-friendly ships.
