Ulsan City to Allocate 6.8 Billion Won for Resident Support Projects in Development Restriction Zones Next Year

Ulsan City will spend a total of 6.8 billion KRW on the Greenbelt Resident Support Project next year.
On the 13th, Ulsan City announced that six projects were selected in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's '2024 Greenbelt Resident Support Project' contest, securing 5.439 billion KRW in national funding.
Including 1.373 billion KRW in local funds, the total budget for the Greenbelt Resident Support Project next year amounts to 6.8 billion KRW.
The selected projects include three living infrastructure projects aimed at alleviating residents' inconveniences caused by a lack of basic facilities such as roads and water supply/sewerage within the greenbelt, and three environmental and cultural projects providing leisure spaces such as landscape improvement and Nuri-gil trails, totaling six projects.
Major projects include △ Dongsuksa Four-Season Path Construction Project (900 million KRW) △ Muryongsan Summit Observation Rest Area Construction Project (900 million KRW) △ Daewoonsan Leisure Green Space Construction Project (1 billion KRW) △ Pungam~Gilchon Village Road Expansion Project (1.2 billion KRW), among others.
An official from Ulsan City said, "This project will greatly help improve the residential environment and expand insufficient infrastructure, providing leisure spaces and alleviating inconveniences for residents living in the greenbelt area who suffer from various regulations."

Since 2001, Ulsan City has implemented various resident support projects, including road expansions, Nuri-gil trail creation, and leisure green space development, investing a total of 134.3 billion KRW, combining 100.1 billion KRW in national funds and 34.2 billion KRW in local funds.
