On the 10th, at the Blackstone Golf Club in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province (par 72, 6,689 yards), Park Ji-young added 1 under par in the 4th round of the KB Financial Star Championship (total prize money 1.2 billion KRW), the fourth major tournament of the KLPGA Tour season, securing a 3-stroke victory (2 under par 286). This marks her third win of the season and seventh career victory, two months after the Ever Collagen·The Siena Queens Crown in July. The winner's prize money is 216 million KRW. Park Ji-young collected her first major trophy in her career, becoming the first this season to reach three wins. She ranks first in wins and average score (70.43), second in prize money ranking (923,131,052 KRW), and second in points for the Player of the Year (440 points).

Starting in third place, two strokes behind, Park Ji-young recorded two birdies and one bogey. After a birdie on the 3rd hole (par 3) was canceled out by a bogey on the 9th hole (par 4), she added a crucial birdie on the 15th hole (par 5). While her competitors faltered, she was the only player to finish under par and win. Park Ji-young emerged as a strong candidate for first place in all individual titles. Her only previous award was Rookie of the Year in 2015. Park Ji-young exclaimed, "I have broken through to win a major tournament," and added, "I want to win as many times as possible during the rest of the season."

Rookie Kim Min-byeol surged with 5 under par to leap to a tie for 2nd place (1 over par 289). Including her third runner-up finish of the season, she has entered the top 10 nine times and rose to first place in rookie points (2,017 points). Lee Ga-young, who was the leader the previous day, lost 4 strokes and dropped to the group tied for 2nd.
