Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Hosts Export Consultation Meeting Inviting Overseas Agricultural Equipment Buyers
36 Domestic Agricultural Equipment Companies and 20 Leading Overseas Buyers
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced on the 10th that it will hold the '2023 Agricultural Equipment Overseas Buyer Invitation Export Consultation Meeting (hereinafter referred to as the Export Consultation Meeting)' in Seoul on the 12th to promote the export of domestic agricultural machinery and equipment.
This Export Consultation Meeting was organized to provide opportunities for domestic agricultural machinery and equipment companies to explore overseas markets and expand exports, moving beyond the saturated domestic market. A total of 36 domestic export companies in the agricultural machinery and equipment sector, including agricultural machinery, and 20 prominent buyers invited from 12 countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam, and Germany will participate.
In particular, since the consultation meetings were held online due to COVID-19 until last year, this year’s face-to-face consultations with buyers raise high expectations for actual export results. Considering this, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs made efforts to select prominent buyers by comprehensively evaluating factors such as overseas buyers’ sales scale, transaction history with Korea, and whether they have secured local distribution networks to enhance export performance.
The Export Consultation Meeting is scheduled to hold more than 160 one-on-one consultations at 20 booths from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the day.

An official from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs said, "We hope this consultation meeting will serve as an opportunity not only to raise awareness of our products but also to confirm their competitiveness in the global market," adding, "We plan to continue supporting follow-up consultations between domestic companies and overseas buyers even after the meeting ends."
