Galleria百 Expands Eco-Friendly 'Value Consumption' Chuseok Gift Sets
10% Expansion Compared to the Previous Year
Galleria Department Store announced on the 8th that it has expanded its Chuseok gift sets that align with the eco-friendly value consumption trend by 10% compared to the previous year.
A representative product is the 'Pali Basket' made from recycled plastic. It is a handmade bag created by combining straps made from discarded plastic, and a portion of the sales proceeds is donated back to society. The 'Kombali Alpaca' is a product that supports the self-reliance of Peruvian indigenous people who raise alpacas, made from the wool and leather of 10% of young alpacas that do not reach adulthood and die naturally, crafted into handmade dolls.
The 'Upcycling Pouch' was produced in collaboration with the eco-friendly beauty brand One O Seven. The pouch is made from old life jackets and contains a total of six skincare products useful for travel. The 'Ube Detergent Set' is a product from the lifestyle brand Ube, using ingredients rated EWG Green excluding fragrances, making it low in harmful substances. It is made using paper containers to minimize the use of dyes and plastics. The set comes in three scents and features drawing art by artist Han Ye-rol on the packaging, adding a touch of luxury.

The 'Iberico Gift Set,' personally overseen from the planning stage by Kim Dong-seon, Head of Strategy at Hanwha Galleria, is sold in limited quantities. It is a purebred Iberico product raised eco-friendly at a Spanish farm directly managed by Hanwha. It is the highest-grade Bellota, raised on acorns and free-range on a farm approximately 3 million pyeong (about 1,400 soccer fields) in size.
