President Yoon Suk-yeol has emphasized the 'ideological war,' while Hong Joon-pyo, the mayor of Daegu, pointed out the problems of ttebeop, saying, "A greater harm than ideology is ttebeop."

He said, "Since the democratization in 1987, in the process of accommodating the outpouring demands, now it has overflowed to the point where even unreasonable demands succeed if one throws a tantrum, making ttebeop a daily occurrence. How else could the saying 'ttebeop is above the constitution' become widespread?" He added, "Once you succumb to ttebeop, it becomes a signal that normalizes ttebeop, repeating a vicious cycle, causing the principles of the state or local governments to collapse, leading to disorder and chaos."
