Musinsa Holds Fashion Scholarship 'Insight Meetup'... "Strengthening Brand Planning Capabilities"
Musinsa announced on the 7th that it held an Insight Meetup to strengthen brand planning capabilities in order to expand practical growth opportunities for fashion scholarship students.
The Insight Meetup, held on the 6th at the Musinsa Campus N1 Townhall Lounge, was attended by the 3rd batch of fashion scholarship students selected this year, along with experts supporting the growth of aspiring designers, making the event shine.
In the first part, a lecture titled "The Top Secret of Brands Selling Well These Days" was held to help fashion scholarship students broaden their perspectives as brand operators and build planning capabilities. An Seong-eun, a writer active as Brand Boy, took the stage as a speaker and introduced three mixes for creating well-selling brands, drawing high enthusiasm from the fashion scholarship students.
In the second session, the Musinsa Commerce Strategy Team employees participated in the "2024 Spring/Summer (SS) Trend Seminar." Practitioners working with brands listed on Musinsa took the stage to analyze next year’s spring and summer trends for the fashion scholarship students. Additionally, they shared data such as collections and sales performance over the past three years, which the brands participating in the "2024 SS Musinsa Season Preview" referred to when planning their products, providing practical know-how to the fashion scholarship students.
This Insight Meetup marked the conclusion of the support program for the 3rd batch of fashion scholarship students selected last March. Musinsa selects scholarship students every semester with the goal of nurturing future emerging designers, providing scholarships and supporting programs such as ▲practical education on brand launching ▲networking among scholarship students ▲mentoring by industry experts. Moving forward, Musinsa plans to continue supporting scholarship students so they can launch their own brands and grow into promising designers who will lead South Korea’s fashion industry.
Jung Tae-young, head of Musinsa’s ESG team, said, “Fashion scholarship students are as interested in improving branding and product planning skills as they are in design capabilities, which led us to hold the Insight Meetup,” adding, “We will continue to expand practical education and experiential programs to help fashion scholarship students launch and operate their brands.”
