Gwangju Nambu Police Station announced on the 6th that on the 5th at 8 p.m., amid increasing risks of copycat crimes involving stabbing incidents, they held a meeting with the Hyodeok-dong Neighborhood Watch as part of special security activities to prevent crimes with abnormal motives and conducted joint patrols.
The meeting, attended by a total of 25 members from the police and the Hyodeok-dong Neighborhood Watch, emphasized the importance of the Neighborhood Watch's activities related to special security measures.
They also urged to strengthen cooperative policing and carried out joint patrols around Songhwa Village 2nd Complex in Nam-gu, selected as a high-crime area, and the Mulbit Neighborhood Park.
