Yongin City Creates 2.6km Barefoot Walking Trail
On the 6th, it was announced that a therapeutic walking trail where people can comfortably walk barefoot has been created on Beophwasan Mountain in Mabuk-dong, Giheung-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do.
The newly established barefoot walking trail spans a total distance of 2.6 km. The city explained that while maintaining the function of the existing road, they used sandy soil with low erosion to enhance the effects of barefoot walking.

The city invested a total of 400 million KRW in the construction of the trail, installing convenience facilities such as one simple foot-washing station, one barefoot resting area, two shoe lockers, and ten information facilities, as well as drainage systems, in addition to paving the trail.
The city added that it will take the lead in spreading the culture of barefoot walking for the Earthing effect.
