Jang Miran, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, explored the hiking course of Bukansan, a historical and cultural tourist resource near Cheongwadae, on the 5th, promoting the charm of K-Climbing in the Cheongwadae area.
The hiking course that Vice Minister Jang explored that day was a strictly controlled area, known as the "secret presidential walking path," but it was opened to the public last May along with Cheongwadae.
Vice Minister Jang hiked the course from Chilgung to Baegakjeong, Cheongwadae Observatory, and Cheongundae. About 20 people, including Korea’s representative mountaineer Captain Um Hong-gil, French broadcaster Fabian living in Seochon, domestic university students, and international students, participated together. The highlight of the course was the Cheongwadae Observatory, where participants enjoyed a panoramic view of downtown Seoul, including Cheongwadae, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Gwanghwamun, and Namsan Tower.
