Muan-gun Recruits Participants for Dementia Patient Program 'Memory Flower Rest Area'
The Dementia Safety Center in Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 5th that it will recruit 30 participants on a first-come, first-served basis by the 12th for the ‘Memory Flower Rest Area’ program, which will be held every Wednesday and Friday from the 13th to the 25th.
The program will be held free of charge at the Muan-gun Dementia Safety Center for 15 participants in the morning session (9 AM to 12 PM) and 15 participants in the afternoon session (1 PM to 4:30 PM). Those who wish to participate can apply after a phone consultation with the Muan-gun Dementia Safety Center.
The ‘Memory Flower Rest Area,’ designed for patients with mild dementia, is a specialized cognitive stimulation program aimed at preventing the worsening of dementia and promoting social contact and interaction. It will consist of △Cognitive Enhancement Classes △Cultural Classes △Craft Classes △Art Classes.
A representative from the Dementia Safety Center said, “We hope this program will improve the quality of life for dementia patients and their families and reduce the caregiving burden on families.”
