In the aftermath of Kim's incident, both ruling and opposition parties submitted consent forms for a full investigation of lawmakers' virtual assets to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission on the 4th. The "Kim Nam-guk Prevention Act," which requires public officials of grade 4 or higher to report the types and quantities of virtual assets they hold when registering their property, will be fully enforced starting this December.
