[2024 Early Admission Special] Hansung University Emphasizes 'Creative Convergence Education'... Establishes Department of Future Mobility
Selecting 1,159 Students through Rolling Admissions
100% Comprehensive Student Records for Documents
Expanding Subjects for Creative Convergence
Hansung University will select 1,159 students, accounting for 69% of the total quota, in the 2024 academic year early admission. Starting this year, the university has established a new advanced department within the College of Creative Convergence called the 'Future Mobility Department,' which will admit 25 freshmen.
The Academic Excellence Admission evaluates 100% of the student record (curriculum) scores. This admission will select 297 students. For the Academic Excellence Admission applying the minimum CSAT score requirement, the combined grade of two CSAT subjects must be within 7 grades for daytime departments and within 8 grades for nighttime departments. Additionally, the top three subjects in the relevant subject group are reflected. From this year, the second foreign language/Chinese characters section can be substituted with inquiry subjects. The Regional Balanced Admission, selecting 189 students this year, does not apply the minimum CSAT score requirement. For Regional Balanced Admission, all subject groups with rank grades are reflected in the scores.
This year, 257 students will be admitted through the Comprehensive Student Record Admission. The Hansung Talent Admission under this category evaluates 100% of the documents (non-curricular areas of the school record) and applies a high school blind evaluation. There are no separate interviews or minimum CSAT score requirements. The admission units have expanded from 5 to 7, adding the Department of Literature and Cultural Contents and the Department of AI Applications within the College of Creative Convergence to the Creative Humanities, Social Sciences, Global Fashion, Beauty Design Management, and IT Engineering departments.
For the newly established Future Mobility Department, 25 daytime students will be selected through the student record curriculum regional balanced admission. The Future Mobility Department offers a convergent curriculum focused on future transportation means such as ▲electric vehicles ▲autonomous vehicles ▲UAM (Urban Air Mobility), and provides education that integrates knowledge from fields such as ▲mechanical ▲electronic/control ▲IT into mobility.
Hansung University plans to systematically conduct creative convergence major education at the Imagination Park, Imagination Park Plus, and the Creative Convergence Education Center, which were designed for creative convergence education. Additionally, through the major track system, students are required to select two tracks, and convergence courses involving two or more tracks have been introduced. In the future, the university plans to expand convergence courses between tracks and increase capstone design courses to cultivate talents with creative comprehensive design abilities linked to track majors.
