Naju City-Kepco MCS Receive Positive Response for LED Light Installation in Vulnerable Groups
KEPCO MCS, an electric power service company, is carrying out social contribution projects to improve the housing safety and conditions of vulnerable groups in the Naju area.
According to Naju City on the 1st, KEPCO MCS is promoting a project this year to install LED lights and remote controls for 104 vulnerable households.
Starting with the project launch ceremony with Naju City on the 16th of last month, LED lights and remote controls have been distributed to 97 households so far.
In addition to the convenience of living with brighter LED lights, the distribution of remote-controlled electric switches means that residents no longer have to struggle to turn off the lights.
This is expected to reduce the likelihood of accidents in dark rooms after the lights are turned off and greatly improve the convenience of life for the elderly.
KEPCO MCS Co., Ltd. is collaborating with Naju City to check on vulnerable groups and provide free installation and other services as a form of talent donation.
Earlier in the first half of the year, they carried out various social contribution activities such as installing smart plugs, supporting flood damage at the Yeongsanpo Regional Children's Center, providing side dishes for elderly living alone, and home repair projects (for 2 households).
Yoon Byung-tae, mayor of Naju City, said, "We support KEPCO MCS Co., Ltd.'s realization of social value through ESG management and appreciate their interest and sharing with neighbors in need. Through electric facility safety inspections, this will greatly help prevent safety accidents such as fires among vulnerable households and improve living environments."
