Gimpo Hakun 6 General Industrial Complex Completed on the 1st... 13 Industries Move In
The Gimpo Hakun 6 General Industrial Complex in Gyeonggi-do was completed on the 31st of last month.
Gyeonggi-do announced on the 1st that it has approved the completion of the 'Gimpo Hakun 6 General Industrial Complex' developed in the Hakun-ri area of Yangchon-eup.
Developed through a private development method, construction began in March 2018, and the site preparation was completed after 5 years and 5 months. The Gimpo Hakun 6 General Industrial Complex covers a total area of 565,319.9㎡, consisting of 358,514.8㎡ of industrial facility land, 30,392.7㎡ of support facility land, and 176,412.4㎡ of public facility land.
Thirteen industries, including chemical, metal processing, electronic components, and electrical equipment, are scheduled to move in. Currently, 138 companies have signed contracts for a combined area of 344,323㎡ of industrial and support facility land, showing a sales rate of 89%.
Gyeonggi-do expects that once sales are completed, approximately 2,700 new jobs will be created, and the increase in tax revenue will significantly revitalize the local economy.
The Hakun Sports and Culture Center, planned to be established within the sports park, uses eco-friendly renewable energy such as geothermal and solar power. Additionally, the use of renewable energy is encouraged upon move-in for each industrial facility, reflected in the district unit plan and basic management plan, actively implementing Gyeonggi-do's 'Industrial Complex RE100' initiative.

Kim Dong-wook, Director of the Industrial Location Division of Gyeonggi-do, stated, "The Gimpo Hakun 6 General Industrial Complex is located at the center connecting the east-west three-axis roads, a key function in completing the Gimpo Gold Valley industrial cluster," adding, "It is expected to play a role in creating synergy through linkage with surrounding industrial complexes such as the Incheon Geomdan Industrial Complex."
