Yangcheon-gu Sinan Park and Gilhun Apartment Pass Safety Inspection... Reconstruction Confirmed
At the August 31 Joint Housing Safety Inspection Advisory Meeting, it was decided that appropriateness review is unnecessary for Sinwol-dong Sinan Park and Gilhun Apartments... Along with Sinwol Sijeong confirmed in January, reconstruction in Sinwol-dong area officially begins
Yangcheon-gu (District Mayor Lee Gijae) announced on August 31 that Sinan Park and Gilhun Apartments, which received a "conditional reconstruction" judgment in the detailed safety inspection conducted last July, have finally passed the reconstruction safety inspection.
On this day, the district held a joint housing safety inspection advisory meeting and decided that no public institution appropriateness review was necessary for both apartment complexes, confirming their reconstruction. Since the housing reconstruction safety inspection was revised in January, these two complexes are the first to simultaneously pass the detailed safety inspection conducted by the district.
Located in Sinwol 7-dong, the two adjacent apartment complexes have both exceeded the 30-year reconstruction period. In particular, the retaining wall between the two complexes and the road posed a collapse risk, so safety measures were taken, making reconstruction urgent.
A district official stated, "With Sinan Park and Gilhun Apartments finally passing the reconstruction safety inspection, it is expected that the redevelopment projects in the Sinwol-dong area will gain momentum, along with the nearby Sinwol Siyeong Apartments, whose reconstruction was confirmed last January."
Additionally, since there are issues related to integrated reconstruction for the two complexes, the district plans to play a role in conflict resolution and mediation to ensure that the opinions of each complex are well reflected during the planning and designation stages of the redevelopment area.
Lee Gijae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, "We will spare no administrative support to ensure that the redevelopment projects, which are a long-standing wish of Sinwol-dong residents, proceed with speed."
