Typhoon Haikui (No. 11) and Typhoon Gireogi (No. 12) are expected to weaken into tropical depressions around 3 PM on the 5th over land west of Shanghai, China, and around 3 PM on the 4th about 280 km southeast of Kagoshima, Japan, respectively. According to forecasts, their impact on Korea will be limited. However, Haikui is expected to move northwestward toward Shanghai and, together with the North Pacific High, supply hot and humid air to Korea, which will help activate the stationary front bringing rain to the southern regions and Jeju.
