Japan: "North Korean Ballistic Missile Falls Outside Japan's EEZ... Violation of Security Council Resolution"
The Japanese government announced on the 31st that the two ballistic missiles launched by North Korea the previous night appeared to have fallen outside Japan's exclusive economic zone (EEZ).
According to the Japanese Ministry of Defense, North Korea launched ballistic missiles into the East Sea at around 11:38 PM and 11:46 PM on the 30th.
The two ballistic missiles flew approximately 350 km and 400 km respectively, with a maximum altitude analyzed at 50 km for both.
No damage from North Korea's ballistic missile launches has been confirmed. Prime Minister Fumio Kishida instructed for the prompt and accurate provision of information to the public and preparation for unexpected situations.
The Japanese government stated, "North Korea's series of actions, including repeated ballistic missile launches, threaten the peace and security of Japan, the region, and the international community, constituting a violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions," and added, "We strongly protest and condemn North Korea."

North Korea also attempted a second military reconnaissance satellite launch on the 24th but failed.
