1100 Certified Public Accountants Pass Final Exam... 137 Fewer Than Last Year
The Financial Supervisory Service announced on the 30th that the final number of successful candidates for the 2023 Certified Public Accountant exam decreased by 137 from the previous year to 1,100.
Among the 4,187 candidates who took the second exam, 1,100 who scored 60% or higher in all subjects were selected as the final successful candidates.
The highest scorer was Moon Gwan-woo (21), a sophomore at Yonsei University, who received a total score of 424 points. The youngest successful candidate was Park Joo-hyuk (19), a sophomore at Seoul National University, and the oldest successful candidate was Park Jong-min (42).

Female successful candidates accounted for 35% of the total, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points compared to one year ago. The average age of successful candidates was 29.6 years, 0.1 years younger than the previous year. By major, students in business-related fields accounted for 71.6%, down 1.2 percentage points from the previous year.
