Knowing Your Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, and Cholesterol Levels
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will conduct the “Know Your Vascular Numbers, Red Circle Campaign” in observance of the Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Management Week (September 1?7).
The “Know Your Vascular Numbers, Red Circle Campaign” is a nationwide joint campaign aimed at managing healthy blood vessels and preventing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
This campaign will operate “Red Circle Zones” at Beolgyo Market on September 4 and Nokchagol Boseong Local Market on September 7, providing blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol measurements, health consultations, and prevention and management promotions.
Additionally, the campaign will focus on promoting to the 30s and 40s age group, who have many health risk factors such as drinking, smoking, and lack of exercise, by strengthening online promotions and conducting simultaneous publicity through the website and SNS, banners designated in 12 towns and townships, and electronic billboards within the region.
Furthermore, residents who want to know their blood pressure and blood sugar levels can visit local health centers and health clinics during the prevention and management week to receive free blood pressure and blood sugar measurements and consultation on the results.
Kim Hak-seong, Director of the Health Center, said, “This campaign aims to help residents know their vascular numbers such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol, and to raise awareness of the importance of preventing and managing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.” He added, “We will explore various methods to help residents maintain healthy lifestyle habits and practice healthy living.”
