The name and face of the victim who was hit by a vehicle driven by the suspect Choi Won-jong (22) in the 'Bundang Stabbing Rampage' incident that occurred on the 3rd of last month and who was receiving treatment in a brain-dead state have been revealed after the victim ultimately passed away the night before.
On the afternoon of the 29th, a funeral hall was set up for the late Kim Hye-bin (20) at Ajou University Hospital in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. The bereaved family disclosed Hye-bin’s real name and photo, hoping that the victim would be remembered more than the perpetrator.
Mr. Kim's funeral procession is scheduled to take place around 8 a.m. on the 31st.

Kim Hye-bin, the victim of the 'Bundang Stabbing Rampage' incident, passed away on the night of the 28th. It had been 25 days since she was hit by a vehicle driven by the suspect Choi Won-jong, which had rushed onto the sidewalk, leaving her in a brain-dead state and on life support.
Friends of Hye-bin briefly described the deceased as a "funny person" in an interview with Yonhap News, recalling memories they shared together.
According to her friends, Hye-bin was a bright and positive art student. They recalled that she was a pure person who often posted her drawings on social media along with captions like "I am grateful for the things the world has given me."
Hye-bin’s family said, "She was an only daughter who gave all the love she could to her family," adding, "She was bright, playful, diligent, and very responsible."

At the time of the accident, Hye-bin was on her way home after working part-time at an academy. Friends who learned about the accident through media reports said they were speechless at the unimaginable tragedy.
Another friend of Hye-bin said, "When I first heard the news, I thought the victim was injured by a stabbing, but I never imagined she was hit by a car and transported in cardiac arrest," adding, "I visited the hospital several times to wish for her recovery, so I was devastated to hear she had passed away."
They continued, "People are only talking about who the perpetrator Choi Won-jong is and how mentally unstable he was," and added, "I hope people remember how wonderful Hye-bin was, who sadly passed away."
The bereaved family also permitted the media to disclose Hye-bin’s name and portrait with the intention that she be remembered more.
Meanwhile, due to the 'Bundang Stabbing Rampage' incident on the 3rd, a woman in her 60s who was hit by a car died three days after the incident on the 6th, and with Hye-bin’s death after being treated in a brain-dead state, the death toll from this incident has risen to two.
