Boseong-gun Promotes Digitization of Permanent Preservation Cadastral Records

Expecting Prompt and Accurate Civil Complaint Services through Continuous Management and Operation

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 29th that it will promote the digitization of permanently preserved cadastral records by the end of this year.

Permanently preserved cadastral records include documents closely related to citizens' property rights, such as the old land register (booklets, cards), survey result maps, and land transfer resolution documents.

The digitization project will be carried out by converting permanently preserved documents into digital images for storage, and the image database (DB) will be systematically managed by the integrated cadastral document management system.

Boseong-gun plans to invest 200 million KRW in the project to build a digitized database (DB) of a total of 155,000 pages, including 15,000 survey result maps and 140,000 land transfer resolution documents.

By promoting the digitization of cadastral records, the county aims to prevent damage and wear of cadastral documents produced over 100 years ago, as well as the loss of official registers due to disasters and accidents.

A Boseong-gun official said, “Continuous management and operation of permanent record documents is expected to improve the quality of cadastral administrative civil complaint services.”
