On the 29th, Suwon announced plans to set up a 'Comprehensive Control Tower for Single-Person Households' in September to publicly support single-person households facing difficulties such as housing and economic burdens and emotional isolation.
The comprehensive control tower will be responsible for ▲consulting on the promotion of support projects for single-person households ▲discussing ways to discover and activate new projects ▲producing promotional materials for single-person household citizens.
Suwon will also build an 'Online Customized Platform' that guides tailored projects for single-person households. On this platform, single-person household members can share information and communicate with each other.
Additionally, in the first half of next year, the city will operate a 'Visiting Single-Person Household Station' that visits areas with high concentrations of single-person households, such as university districts and one-room apartment neighborhoods, to provide consultations on real estate, financial law, and daily economy.
Park Ranja, Director of the Welfare and Women’s Bureau of Suwon City, said, "We will prepare comprehensive measures for single-person households to create an environment where everyone can live healthily and safely together," and promised, "We will also promote projects that provide safety nets, such as support for the 'Safety Package' to prevent crime victimization among single-person households."
Meanwhile, Suwon is implementing various welfare policies and projects including ▲Suwon Saebit Care ▲Honoring National Merit Recipients ▲Senior Employment Projects ▲Customized Care Services for Elderly Living Alone ▲Comprehensive Measures for People with Developmental Disabilities ▲Child-Friendly Welfare Projects.

There are 13 types of services across four main areas: home visits and housekeeping, accompaniment support, psychological counseling, and temporary protection. As of August 24, 720 citizens have applied for these services.
