Kim Jaewon "Capital Region Crisis Theory, Can Be Captured by Defeatism"
"Yoo Seung-min Accumulating Justification for Party Withdrawal"
Regarding the 'Capital Region Crisis Theory' being raised mainly by the anti-Yoon (非尹) faction within the party, including lawmakers Ahn Cheol-soo, Yoon Sang-hyun, former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min, and former leader Lee Jun-seok, Kim Ki-hyun, leader of the People Power Party, referred to it as a 'healthy debate.' However, Kim Jae-won, the party's Supreme Council member, pointed out that excessively emphasizing the crisis could lead to defeatism.
On the 29th, during SBS's 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show,' when asked by the host whether Kim leader somewhat acknowledged the Capital Region Crisis Theory, Kim Supreme Council member said, "From the leader's standpoint, any debate that is healthy can be accepted with confidence," but added, "If it spreads as the Capital Region Crisis Theory, it could trap us in a defeatist mindset, as if we are going to suffer a significant loss in the general election."

Kim Supreme Council member argued that basing strategies on the 'crisis theory' could actually fail to consolidate supporters. He said, "If the term Capital Region Crisis Theory is publicized and spread, or if all strategies are based on it, I do not think that is the right direction," adding, "We are in a situation where we can still win if we establish the right strategy and head in the right direction, but if we emphasize the crisis, it could result in even our supporters failing to properly unite."
He continued, "Rather than talking about a Capital Region crisis, it is more appropriate to focus on how we will win, what strategies we will form, and what strategies we will employ, moving in a direction that can lead to victory."

When asked by the host whether those advocating the Capital Region Crisis Theory have other political motives, he said, "Some have different goals, or some sincerely speak out to reflect the voices from the field directly to the party for the party’s sake and care," adding, "For example, someone like former lawmaker Yoo seems to be accumulating justification not so much for a Capital Region crisis but rather for leaving the party."
