Gochang-gun Announces 'Ungok Wetland YouTube' Video Contest Until October
Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, is holding the 'Ungok Wetland YouTube Video Contest' until the end of October.
According to the county on the 29th, this contest was organized to raise nationwide interest in the Ramsar wetland, Ungok Wetland, and to promote eco-tourism in celebration of the '2023 World Heritage City Gochang Visit Year.'
The county has been striving to realize a global natural ecological city where nature and humans coexist, having been designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2013 and receiving international certification as a Ramsar Wetland City in 2021.
The themes of the contest are ▲ Promotion of Gochang Ungok Ramsar Wetland ▲ Promotion of the six villages surrounding Ungok Wetland ▲ Promotion of eco-tourism activation.
Anyone can participate individually or as a team, and submissions must be mp4 files filmed with a camera or smartphone, with a duration of about 3 to 4 minutes.
Prizes will be awarded to a total of 5 works: 1 Grand Prize, 2 Excellence Awards, and 2 Merit Awards, with prizes worth 1,000,000 KRW, 700,000 KRW, and 500,000 KRW respectively.
A county official said, "We hope this contest will provide more people with the opportunity to feel the charm of Ungok Wetland and to heal," adding, "We ask for the active participation of those interested."
