Hovland received 7.79 points in the weekly men's golf world rankings announced on the 28th (local time), moving up one spot from 5th place last week. He secured a 5-stroke victory at the Tour Championship (total prize money $75 million), the final third round of the 2022/2023 PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs (PO), held at East Lake Golf Club (par 70) in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, the day before. This marks his third win of the season and sixth career victory, following two consecutive wins since last week's BMW Championship. His winner's prize money is $18 million (approximately 23.9 billion KRW).

South Korea's Kim Joo-hyung is ranked 16th, Im Sung-jae 27th, Kim Si-woo 38th, An Byeong-hun 56th, and Lee Kyung-hoon 65th. Song Young-han, winner of the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO) Sansan KBC Augusta, jumped from 611th last week to 435th. National team member Jang Yoo-bin, who became the amateur champion at the Korean Tour KPGA Gunsan CC Open, jumped 368 places to 716th.
