Player Lee Kwang-jong Wins with 75 Strokes
The 'Jeju Golf Big League,' which determines the strongest mid-amateur golfer in the Jeju region, concluded successfully on the 24th at Club L Jeju CC with amateur golfers participating.
Sponsored by the Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, the Jeju Golf Big League is a tournament where mid-amateur experts in the Jeju area compete monthly to determine the top golfer in the region. In this tournament, player Lee Gwang-jong (56) won the championship with a score of 75.

The tournament faced a major variable as it was held under heavy rain and adverse weather conditions.
Although top representatives from Jeju high school alumni and golf club champions participated, the bad weather prevented players from fully demonstrating their skills.
Despite being amateur experts, the application of official rules as in regular competitions led to frequent mistakes, and with the rain, players' performances were significantly unsettled.
Even in these conditions, Lee Gwang-jong maintained his composure and secured the championship by beating second-place Park Hyung-joo (53) by two strokes.
Lee Gwang-jong said, "I am pleased to have won by defeating Jeju golf experts at the golf course where I work," adding, "The prize provided by Huon Adelive will be donated as the prize for the next tournament."
Meanwhile, players participating in the first tournament unanimously said, "Amateurs feel a new enjoyment of golf as markers are designated, scores are recorded directly, and drop zones are determined according to golf rules just like in official competitions," and "We hope such tournaments continue to be held as they allow us to accurately assess our skills."
