Online 'Presidential Assassination Threats' Continue... Police Investigation Underway
A post threatening to assassinate President Yoon Suk-yeol was uploaded online, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
According to the police on the 25th, the Cyber Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency received a report that a post stating "The president should not be impeached, he must be assassinated" was uploaded around 5:30 PM the previous day on an internet community, and they have begun an investigation.
Additionally, the police are investigating a 112 report made around 12:10 AM that day, in which a user of the online game 'Overwatch' allegedly said, "The plan to assassinate the president is being expedited."
