Seodaemun-gu Promotes Hygiene Consulting for Group Catering Facilities
Customized Consulting Visit to Registered 'MFDS HACCP Training Institutions'
Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced on the 25th that it will conduct one-on-one customized consulting for 40 group meal service facilities in the area until November this year to ensure a safe meal environment.
To this end, the district selected a specialized company registered as a 'MFDS HACCP Education and Training Institution' with extensive experience in food hygiene diagnostics.
This company conducts a preliminary diagnosis of hygiene status and potential contamination at each stage, from ingredient inspection to storage, cooking, and serving, and proposes improvement measures considering the actual conditions of the meal service facilities.
They also perform microbial tests to measure contamination levels of knives and cutting boards, along with an overall diagnosis of the cooking environment.
The district plans to guide establishments requiring improvements based on evaluation results to promptly correct and supplement with the help of the specialized company.
Facilities that complete the consulting will be provided with a food poisoning index notifier (temperature and humidity measuring device) that allows real-time monitoring of the food poisoning index at interest, caution, warning, and danger levels.
