Expansion of the Yeongdo Small Park Walking Trail in Dongjak-gu
Expanded Walkway from 1.5m to 5m: Improved Safe and Convenient Pedestrian Path
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced that it completed the expansion construction of the walking trail within Yeongdo Small Park, adjacent to the back gate of Jangseung Middle School, on the 22nd to improve the convenience for residents using the walking trail.
Yeongdo Small Park (around 535-6 Sangdo-dong) is a small park near Jangseungbaegi Station on Line 7, serving as a commuting route for Jangseung Middle School students and a resting place for nearby residents.
This construction was carried out in conjunction with the expansion work of the back gate of Jangseung Middle School, which included the installation of accessibility facilities (slope) for people with disabilities.
The walking trail, which was previously narrow at 1.5 meters, has been expanded more than threefold to 5 meters, allowing not only people with disabilities using electric mobility devices but also residents to use the park more safely and conveniently.
Additionally, the vacant land created by relocating the park management warehouse and office for the trail expansion is planned to be developed into a green space by September.
The district is committed to implementing a communication and empathy administration that directly identifies residents' inconveniences throughout the area and takes immediate action.
