Musical Performance in Mid-Summer at Seorae Village, Seocho-gu
On the 31st, the Serae Music Concert featuring musical performances and a performance show will be held at Banpo 4-dong Community Center's Serae Art Hall
A dazzling musical concert will be held on a summer night in Seorae Village, Korea’s little France.
Seocho-gu (District Mayor Jeon Seong-su) will host the ‘Seorae Music Concert’ on the 31st at the Banpo 4-dong Community Center Seorae Art Hall, featuring musical music and a performance show together.
In particular, this ‘Seorae Music Concert’ offers a chance to enjoy various musical performances similar to Broadway musicals right in front of your home. Since 2014, it has been organized by the Banpo 4-dong Residents’ Autonomy Committee to make the exotic Seorae Village a more distinctive cultural village.
This concert will feature ‘Musical Line,’ a professional musical team that also performed the opening show at the 2017 KAS Point Awards, the year-end ceremony of Korean professional baseball. They will present a show choir-style performance (a comprehensive performance combining singing and various elements) with music and added performance shows.
Especially, Jeon Dong-hwan, CEO of Musical Line, who has worked as a vocal coach at Kyyk Musical Studio alongside Park Kal-lin, a maestro in the musical world and music director, plans to showcase high-quality performances and music through this Seorae Music Concert.
The performance will run for about one hour from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. In the first part, they will perform representative songs from the musical ‘Mozart!’ such as ‘If You Love, You Can Understand Each Other,’ ‘Golden Star,’ and ‘I Am Schikaneder.’ In the second part, audiences can enjoy about ten famous songs in one place, including the OSTs from Frozen like ‘Love is an Open Door,’ ‘Ring in the Season,’ and Aladdin’s OST ‘Friend Like Me.’
Jang Young-hwa, Chairperson of the Residents’ Autonomy Committee, said, “We hope many people will participate in this free concert, and we will continue to hold regular music concerts in the future.”
