3 People Rescued After Entering Gwangjucheon Against Access Restrictions and Becoming Isolated
Citizens stranded under a bridge over the Gwangju Stream, where water levels rose due to heavy rain in a short period, were safely rescued.
According to the Gwangju Western Fire Station on the 24th, a report was received at around 1:18 p.m. that three people, A (72), B (65), and C (43), were trapped in the space under the Gwangun Bridge pier in Imdong, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.
The fire department used ropes and ladders to rescue all of them within about 50 minutes, and it was reported that they are all in good health.
They were strangers to each other and were resting under the bridge to escape the heat when the water suddenly rose, causing them to become stranded.
