Lotte Group has decided not to appoint a successor for the currently vacant Hotel Group Headquarters (HQ) representative position.
On the 23rd, Lotte Group announced that it has settled on not appointing a successor to Lee Wan-shin, the former Hotel Group HQ General Manager who resigned last month due to health reasons. The Hotel Group HQ, which supports the hotel, duty-free, and World business divisions with four main departments?HR, finance, management strategy, and marketing?will be reorganized to focus on finance and ESG (environment, social, and governance). Accordingly, strategic and marketing personnel who joined from the Hotel Lotte business division and various affiliates will return to their original departments.

Additionally, Lotte Group plans to strengthen the roles of each business division within Hotel Lotte. After Lee’s resignation, Lotte Group appointed Kim Tae-hong, head of Lotte Hotel Resort and CL Division, as the CEO of Lotte Hotel. Support is also expected to increase for Kim Ju-nam, CEO of Lotte Duty Free entering his second year, and Choi Hong-hoon, CEO of Lotte World in his fourth year. Through this, the group aims to smoothly proceed with the official opening of Vietnam’s 'West Lake Hanoi,' one of the group’s largest projects in the second half of this year.
