Venture Entrepreneurs Gathered Together... 'Venture Summer Forum' Held in Jeonju

One of the largest events in the venture industry, the ‘Venture Summer Forum,’ will be held in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do from the 23rd to the 25th.
The Korea Venture Business Association announced that it will hold the Venture Summer Forum in Jeonju for three days under the slogan “With Ggang, With String, With Dream, With Venture.” Co-hosted with the Jeollabuk-do branch of the Korea Venture Business Association, the forum will be attended by about 280 people, including venture company CEOs and executives, government ministry officials, and related organization representatives.

View original imageNow in its 21st year, the Venture Summer Forum is a representative summer event in the venture industry where venture entrepreneurs and experts from the overall venture ecosystem gather to share management strategies, technology trends, and exchange experiences of success and challenges, providing opportunities for cooperation and business growth.
This year’s forum will be conducted around the themes of ‘Money,’ ‘Tech,’ ‘Global,’ and ‘Local,’ sharing various information and experiences necessary for establishing management strategies. Business exchanges will also be held to enable senior and junior venture companies to grow together.
The opening ceremony will include a “Declaration of Participation in Growing Together Entrepreneurship” and a keynote speech. The keynote speech will be delivered by Byeon Daegyu, Chairman of Humax, who will talk about the purpose and responsibility of companies, entrepreneurial activities, governance, and the essence of ventures based on insights gained from over 40 years as an entrepreneur under the theme “Entrepreneurs, Understanding Change and the Future of the National Economy.”
Seong Sangyeop, Chairman of the Korea Venture Business Association, explained in his opening remarks, “Ventures must constantly innovate as entities that challenge and expand their territories based on entrepreneurship, contributing to the national economy and striving to nurture junior companies.”
Kim Gwan-young, Governor of Jeollabuk-do, said, “Venture and startup companies are important innovation resources for the region. Jeollabuk-do is committed to revitalizing the venture and startup ecosystem by creating a regional fund of 1 trillion won, attracting TIPS operators, operating the Changchang Advisory Group composed of top domestic experts, and listening carefully to this forum to reflect policies as much as possible.”
On the 24th, lectures by senior venture entrepreneurs and industry experts will continue, with various programs such as global sessions, tech sessions, money sessions, entrepreneurship sessions, and senior-junior mentoring networking.
Invited lectures include Nam Minwoo, Chairman of Dasan Group, speaking on “Growth Strategies and Entrepreneurship of First-Generation Venture Entrepreneurs,” and Kim Jeuk, Vice President of Atinum Investment, presenting on “Domestic and International Venture Capital (VC) Investment Environment and Strategies.”

The local session on the 25th will include topics such as “Building a Creative Convergence Community Beyond Generations and Regions,” development plans for the Jeollabuk-do venture startup ecosystem, a special lecture by Park Sesang, CEO of Jeollabuk-do’s representative startup ‘Hanboknam,’ titled “The Meaning of Youth Starting a Startup Locally,” and a one-on-one lunch mentoring program with senior companies.
