Dismissal of Defamation Charges Against Oh Se-hoon in Kim Yong-ho's Case... Submission of Non-Prosecution Request
YouTuber Kim Yong-ho, who was prosecuted for defamation against Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, received a dismissal of the indictment from the court.
According to the legal community on the 22nd, the Seoul Eastern District Court dismissed the prosecution's indictment against Kim, who was charged with spreading false information (defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act), the day before.
Earlier, Mayor Oh submitted a letter of non-prosecution to the court, expressing that he did not wish for Kim to be punished. In crimes where prosecution cannot proceed against the victim's will, a dismissal of the indictment is issued if there is a post-prosecution expression of non-prosecution intent.
