The Anti-Corruption Investigation Division 2 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Young-chul) indicted Yoon on the same day on charges of violating the Political Parties Act. According to the prosecution, Yoon is accused of receiving a total of 60 million won from primary election camp officials to distribute among incumbent Democratic Party lawmakers to support former party leader Song Young-gil's election ahead of the Democratic Party's May 2021 convention. The prosecution stated, "The investigation into the violation of the Political Parties Act by providing money by lawmaker Yoon will continue along with the investigation related to the recipients."
